Maine State Music Theatre is back this season with its “Peek Behind the Curtain” series, running now through August. Each session will feature a panel of MSMT artists and staff involved in crafting the shows of the theater’s 2017 season. The events are free and open to the public.
Broadway World Maine Editor Carla Maria Verdino- Süllwold will act as moderator, with a question and answer period to follow. The panel discussion will be followed by a short, informal meet and greet with beverages served.
Each panel discussion takes place in the Morrell Meeting Room at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. The summer panel discussion series includes:
• Peek Behind the Curtain — “Always, Patsy Cline,” June 14, noon to 1 p.m.
• Peek Behind the Curtain — “Guys and Dolls,” July 5, noon to 1 p.m.
• Peek Behind the Curtain — “Grease,” July 26, noon to 1 p.m.
• Peek Behind the Curtain — “Newsies,” Aug. 16, noon to 1 p.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
