BATH — Deborah “Debbie” A. Provencher, 45, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

She was born in Machias on May 19, 1972, a daughter of William W. and Cynthia A. (Durgan) Sheldon. Debbie graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1990. In 1994 she graduated from the University of Maine at Orono as a nursing major with her BSN as “Magna Cum Laude”. She married Ronald A. Provencher in 1995 with whom she has two wonderful sons. Debbie was employed at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth for over 20 years as a registered nurse on the labor and delivery floor. In 2012 she moved to Bath and was employed at Mercy Hospital in Windham.

Debbie enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, boat rides with family on the Kennebec River, family vacations, and especially spending time with her two sons.

Debbie is survived by her two sons, Max and Bo Provencher, of Prospect, ME., her parents, Bill and Cindy Sheldon of Woolwich, her sister, Melanie Tibbetts of Woolwich, two nieces, Kelsey and Courtney Tibbetts, two nephews, Julian and Spencer McDermont, many aunts uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 144 Lincoln St., Bath. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Woolwich. Family and friends will gather at her parent’s home in Woolwich. Arrangements are by Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath.
