BRUNSWICK — Yolande St. Pierre, age 96, of Maurice Drive died Thursday, June 8th at the Dionne Commons.

She was born in Lewiston, on December 9, 1920 the daughter of Amede and Blanche Bernard Juneau. Yolande attended Lewiston and Auburn schools.

Being an excellent seamstress, Yolande helped her sister for many years during the busy seasons of her shop Lebel’s Bridal Shop in Auburn. For most of Yolande’s life she worked as a stitcher in area shoe shops.

In July of 1985 Yolande retired from stitching from L.L. Beans.

She was predeceased by her first husband Arthur in 1955, her second husband Edward St. Pierre on May 13, 2007 and her daughter Jane Guimont on May 9, 2016.

Yolande enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the family camp in the West Forks. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Yolande was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Church- All Saints Parish.

Surviving is a son George St. Pierre Sr. and his wife Doris of Freeport. Two grandchildren Rosemarie Murphy and her partner Michael Ashby of Freeport, George St. Pierre Jr. and his wife Karen of North Yarmouth. Four great grandchildren Sean, Joseph, Joshua and Rachael.

Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 PM

Monday, June 12th at

Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, June 13th at St. Charles Borromeo Church- All Saints Parish 132 McKeen St. Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery 217 Switzerland Road Lewiston, Maine.
