On Friday, June 9, Waban’s athletes and staff met at the Wormwood Center in Sanford to enjoy a send-off breakfast and board the charter bus to begin their journey to the 2017 Special Olympics Summer Games at the University of Maine at Orono. Bus transportation is provided by proceeds from the annual Waban Tee Up & Drive Charity Golf Tournament, scheduled for Sept. 29 at the Sanford Country Club. Call 207-324-7955 for more information.
