WELLS — Kathleen Anne Gonyer, 65, passed away suddenly on June 16, 2017, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

She was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, on April 3, 1952. She moved to Haverhill where she resided for many years before moving to Maine where she lived for 30 years. She was employed at AVX in Biddeford, Maine, for 27 years until she retired.

She was an avid reader who loved Stephen King novels. She loved girls camping and spending time with her friends. She was one of the smartest people we all knew. She enjoyed going to the beach and laying in the sun.

She had 11 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She was in heaven when she got to spend time with them. There were many zoo and amusement park trips over the years. She was her happiest when they were all with her.

She is survived by: her four children, Kimberly Gonyer, Sharon Gonyer, Christopher Gonyer and Kelly Adams, all of Maine. “They will never forget the long road trips and plain bologna and cheese sandwiches on the side of the road.”

She also leaves behind: two son-in-laws, Eric Gaouette and Billy Jack Adams; and her daughter-in-law, Cyndy Gonyer.

She was survived by: her mother, Jeanne Hall and her stepfather, John Hall, of Billerica, Massachusetts; her brother, Bob Harvey and sister-in-law, Sue Harvey, of Quincy, Massachusetts; and her sister, Debi Harriman and her brother-in-law, Jeff Harriman, of Shapleigh, Maine.

She was also survived by: 10 grandchildren, Michael, Chelsea, Zachary, Michael Goodwin, Erin, Keegan, Kirsten, Riley, Jacob and Emma; her two great-granddaughters, Jaslinn and Allianna; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Robert Harvey; her brother, Billy Harvey, and her granddaughter, Rebecca Gonyer.

“She lived life to the fullest, but toward the end she was just sick and tired of being sick and tired.”

A celebration of life service will be held on July 30, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Biddeford Eagles in Biddeford, Maine.
