BRUNSWICK

Two Maine business partners have secured 2.7 acres on Brunswick Landing with the hopes of attracting tenants and employing 30 to 40 people.

Bill Moore of Brunswick and Matt Hancock of Casco closed on the properties, known as lots 14 and 15, on June 14 under the name Wiley Road LLC. There is currently a 1,600-square-foot brick building situated on the land.

Moore said the interest in Brunswick Landing is spurred by the growth of the campus, adding that Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Steve Levesque has done an excellent job in attracting companies and promoting growth on the former Navy base.

Moore said as planning for the lots is in a very elementary stage, he can’t be specific about what type of business will be operated out of the space, but that he and Hancock have spoken with an interested party.

Hancock said they also took a right of first refusal on two additional joining lots, so they will have maximum flexibility on configurations and layouts.

“We are currently looking for a commercial anchor tenant, which we would work with to create a custom solution and then we would build the remaining space out on speculation,” Hancock said.
