BRUNSWICK

On Monday, July 17, join Maine Coast Heritage Trust for a morning on The Goslings, two of Casco Bay’s favorite uninhabited islands. There will be free boat shuttles departing from the Mere Point public boat launch in Brunswick from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. People will be taken over on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be plenty of time to explore the two islands which are connected at low tide and MCHT staff will be grilling hot dogs on the beach to complete the perfect island getaway. If you have your own boat or kayak, meet us there!

The boat shuttles are open skiffs which can accommodate 5-6 people at a time. The ride to the Goslings is approximately 15 minutes. MCHT will provide mandatory life vests or bring your own if you have one. Participants must be agile enough to step off the dock into a small boat and climb over the side onto the beach at the island. At The Goslings, be prepared to get your feet wet as we bump up on the beach to disembark. This trip is appropriate for children.

The shuttles will depart from the boat launch approximately every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 12:30 pm. The last boat will depart from The Goslings at 2 p.m.

The Goslings Open House is sponsored by the MCHT Shore Keepers, a group of young conservationists committed to keeping the coast of Maine healthy, beautiful, and open to all.
