WEST BATH — On July 18 at 6 p.m. at the West Bath Fire Department, 92 State St., Nelson Marass and the Department of Marine Resources have scheduled a public scoping session on a potential application for a standard aquaculture lease to grow American/Eastern oysters on an approximately 5.5-acre site located east of Middle Ground, New Meadows River.

The session provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the proposed lease and to have an informal discussion with the applicant about this proposal. A scoping session provides for open discussion and is not an adjudicatory hearing.
