Several Midcoast residents are among those summonsed for Engaging a Prostitute, according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff ’s Office issued Tuesday.
According to police, summonsed were William Waldron, 41 of Bowdoinham; Jason Macdonald, 37, of Bath; Harrison Rossi, 19, of Milbridge; Alexander Paine, 28 of Camden; James Carville, 32, of Sabattus; Daniel Ronco, 50 of Arundel; Paul Shanley, 40, of Everett, Massachusetts. They are scheduled to appear July 27 in Wiscasset District Court.
Angel McCracken, 26, of Damariscotta, was arrested and charged with several counts of Engaging in Prostitution and later released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
All charges in this investigation are Class E misdemeanors.
According to the sheriff ’s office, The investigation began with a complaint received by Damariscotta Police Department in April 2017 and involved the extensive online investigation of ads placed on Craigslist and Backpage.com. The investigation continues and more charges may be coming. Police from Damariscotta, Milbridge, South Portland and Everett, Massachusetts assisted in the case.
