Mills said he was meeting with with Vice President Mike Pence about his veterans retreat when he got a chance to meet the president, too. Mills’ lakeside retreat was dedicated last month. It hosts combat-injured veterans and their families for free. Mills says the retreat shows participants how they can continue to engage in recreational activities with their families. Fifty-six families are expected visit the camp this summer.
