Brunswick police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Church Road that occurred Thursday, blocking the road for about 90 minutes.
A Subaru and a GMC pickup truck collided head-on near Region Ten Technical High School at about 4 p.m.
Firefighters extricated the driver of the Subaru by cutting off the door with hydraulic tools. She was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries, according to Officer Patrick Mahar.
The man driving the pickup truck was transported to Mid Coast Hospital.
Air bags deployed in both vehicles, which were totaled. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and police weren’t immediately releasing further information.
Traffic was able to loop around the crash through Robin, Kyle and Leslie streets.
