ALFRED — A Waterboro man whom police allege robbed a woman outside a Hollis convenience store pleaded guilty earlier this month to a criminal threatening charge in connection with the holdup and was ordered to serve eight months and two weeks of a five-year sentence.

Marcus Lefebvre, 29, was sentenced at York County Superior Court by Judge Michael Cantara on July 7.

He was also ordered to serve two years probation in connection with the  Oct. 23 incident that took place outside the L’il Mart on Plains Road on Oct. 23.

Maine State Police at the time said one of the victims reported several men armed with metal pipes and tire irons surrounded their vehicle in the parking lot that October night.

The suspects allegedly struck an individual in the arm with a tire iron, demanded cash and made off with an unknown amount.

Lefebvre was originally charged with robbery in connection with the case.

In January police asked the public for information that could lead them to other alleged participants in the altercation.

Lefebvre has had other brushes with the law. He was indicted in September on charges ranging from criminal threatening to stalking, terrorizing and more, stemming from an incident in Cornish July 3, 2016 where he was alleged to have threatened his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend with a .45-caliber handgun.

York County Sheriff Bill King said following the July 3, 2016 incident that Lefebvre’s former girlfriend and her boyfriend were leaving a residence in Cornish when they found a vehicle blocking their driveway. When the man asked the driver of the vehicle to move it, Lefebvre allegedly a pointed a .45-caliber handgun at him and the woman.

According to documents on file at the court, Lefebvre during his July 7 court appearance also pleaded guilty to domestic violence stalking and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and  was sentenced to serve six months and two weeks in jail in connection with the Cornish incident.

As well, he pleaded guilty to failure to notify police of a motor vehicle accident that took place the same day and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, also to be served concurrently. The other charges were dismissed.
