Pettengill Farm Tours, 6 p.m. in Freeport

The Freeport Historical Society will offer guided tours of the historic Pettengill Farmhouse and grounds. The tours offer a rare opportunity to view and learn about the saltwater farm built around 1800, which is generally open only once a year. Tours last 90 minutes. They also will be held at 5 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 11 a.m. on Sept. 15. The cost is $12 per person. To learn more or register go to historicfreeport.org or call 865-3170.
