Save the Shoreline

I can’t believe the decision of the DEP agreeing with the Parkers on the issue of his findings concerning the pilings.

Those pilings have been there long before the Parkers, and carry a very important part of the areas history. Our small island towns have lost so much of their allure and past history.

Issues of such great importance should be left in the hands of the communities affected, not a hand full of people who supposedly know so much because they carry one title or another. In a similar issue that involves a historic matter, (the Frank Wood Bridge) those trying to save it are talking to people with deaf hearing. I think the permit should be rescinded as of this letter. Let’s save our shore lines not destroy them.
