BIDDEFORD — Barry Gene Dumper, 70, of High Street, passed away July 24, 2017. 

He was born in Roosevelt, New York, Oct. 12, 1946, the son of Lester and Ethel Barry Dumper. 
Barry attended Port Jefferson High School and Hartwick College.

A musician for all of his life, he traveled to California in the 1980s.

While being a musician, he was also a Master Carpenter by trade.  Barry lived in Woodstock, New York and the Netherlands until moving to Maine in 1999.

He played locals venues like B. B. Burritos and Run of the Mill.

He enjoyed music and reading.

Survivors include a son, Travis Tamara and his partner Linda van der Tang of the Netherlands, and a sister, Elizabeth DeFraine of Hiltonhead, North Carolina.

Friends and relatives may call at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation, Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 6 to 7 p.m. A 7 p.m. memorial service will follow at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date in New York.
