The art festival will feature a wide variety of art, including watercolors, nature photography, greeting cards, clothing, upcycled records and vegan beer soap.
“There’s something for everyone. I can’t wait to go shopping,” said Kim Verreault, executive director of the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce, which is hosting the event.
The art festival will run from 1-8 p.m. Admission is free.
“It’s definitely a family-friendly show,” said Verreault.
Artists in the show are predominantly from Maine, and all have been juried by a committee.
This is the first such event the chamber has organized, and Verreault said chamber officials are happy to have reached their goal of about 50 vendors.
“This has been such a wonderful event to pull together,” she said. She said the chamber’s excited to host the festival for both the local community and tourists to enjoy.
“Veterans Memorial Park is the perfect venue,” she said, noting the work that has been done over the
years to beautify the park and the park’s close proximity to downtown attractions.
The festival coincides with the town recreation department’s Music in the Park series, and that evening will feature the Bob Charest Band from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
