Family, friends and co-workers gathered Friday to mourn a 20-year-old Sebago firefighter and emergency medical technician at Sebago Town Hall. Chance Gallant was killed July 30 in a shooting accident at a Baldwin gravel pit.
The only child of Dwayne and Melinda Gallant of Sebago, he graduated in 2014 from Lake Region High School in Naples and studied fire science at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland.
“Everyone in the community knew what an upstanding young man he was,” said Jason Schoolcraft, deputy chief of the Sebago Fire and EMS Service, earlier this week.
