FRANKFORT (AP) _ Authorities have released the identities of the victims in a pair of fatal crashes in neighboring towns in Waldo County.
The county sheriff’s office says the first crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Frankfort, when a car rolled over, killing 29-year-old Michael Butler of Winterport. No one else was in the vehicle.
The second crash happened around 5 a.m. in Prospect, when a car carrying four people crashed going around a corner near the Penobscot Narrows Bridge.
Daniel Huntington of New Jersey, 39, and 37-year-old Sarah Brown of Monroe died. Two men from Prospect were hospitalized with serious injuries.
