BIDDEFORD — Robert L. Archambault Sr., 61, of Sanford and formerly of Biddeford, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 at Southridge Living and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

He was born Dec. 20, 1955 in Biddeford, a son of Maurice and Pauline (Demers) Archambault and was educated locally, graduating from Biddeford high school in the Class of 1973.

On Nov. 16, 1973, he married Nancy Merrill in Biddeford.

Bob had been employed with West Point Pepperell as a machine operator for 38 years when it closed in 2009. He became ill shortly thereafter.

He enjoyed music, taking long car rides in the country and family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two granddaughters, Emily and Ashley Archambault.

He is survived by Nancy Archambault, his wife of 44 years, of Sanford; two sons, Robert Archambault, Jr. and his wife Dee-Anna of Sanford and David Archambault and his wife Kelly of Biddeford; three brothers, Richard Archambault and his wife Charlotte of Arundel, Norman Archambault and his wife Elizabeth andRene Archambault and his wife Karen both of Biddeford; four granddaughters: Karina, Kylee, Brooke, and Leah; one grandson, Ethan; and nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. The family would welcome flowers and memorial donations. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005.
