ACTON — Gloria J. Landry, 77, of Acton, died on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at her home in Acton.

She was born on May 22, 1940 to the late Clifton and Clotilda (Demers) Bemis in Sanford, where she grew up and attended St. Ignatius schools.

Gloria, a huge Elvis Presley fan, very poignantly passed away on the 40th anniversary of his death. Perhaps she is going to have a word with him about that concert in Portland that he missed, to which she held tickets.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, a husband, Jerry Greenlaw Sr., a husband, James A. Landry, two grandsons, Daniel Granger, and Andrew Landry, brothers, Baby Raymond J. Bemis, Clifton Bemis Jr. and Michael Bemis,  her mother- and father- in-law, Armand and Goldie Touissaint, sister-in-law Edna Bemis, and brother-in-law Frank Delaney III.

Survivors include six daughters, Bonnie Granger and her husband Jeff, of Springvale, Robin Lovejoy and her husband Gary, of Lebanon, Julie Conley and her husband Steve, of Shapleigh, Kelly Greenlaw, of Acton, Sharon Landry, of Sanford, and Melissa Landry, of Sanford; two sons, Jerry Greenlaw Jr., of Germany, and James Greenlaw and his wife Sharon, of Tennesee;  grandchildren, William Granger Jr., Clifton Granger, Heather Merrifield, Heath David Merrifield, Alicia Stone, Starr Stone, Kelly Conley, Emily Conley, Jennifer Gillette, Corey Bedard, Amy Bedard, Leah Greenlaw, Jennifer Smalley, and Travis Smalley; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Bemis and his wife Doris, Robert Bemis and his wife Debby, Francis Bemis, Patrick Bemis and his wife Irene; sisters, Barbara Leach and her husband Everett, and Ann Gagne and her husband Donald; sisters-in-law Carol Delaney-Ridolfi and her husband Bill Ridolfi, Barabara Whitten and her husband Tom, Patty Cullen and her husband Larry, Joan Bryant and her husband Robert, Carol Bougie and her husband Norman and Joan Tausek Bemis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation Saturday, Aug. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m.  with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale. Burial will be held at Maplegrove Cemetery in Acton at a later date.
