ACTON — A Kingston, New Hampshire driver was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland after crashing his motorcycle on Route 109 around 3:45 p.m. Sept. 2.

York County Sheriff William King said Dana Seaboyer, 56, was in stable condition at the hospital.  He was treated at the scene by Acton Fire and Rescue for significant head and leg injuries..

King said the preliminarily investigation found that Seaboyer was riding his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Route 109 with several other motorcyclists when he left the roadway and struck a tree.  

King said Seaboyer was wearing a helmet.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.  Portions of Route 109 were shut down for almost two hours following the accident.
