OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Old Orchard Beach girls soccer team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-0 win over visiting Richmond on Thursday.

Joyce Doucette opened the scoring 19 minutes into the contest with a goal off a Shani Plante assist.

Plante finished off the 2-0 win with her first career varsity goal at the 25-minute mark. Kaitlyn Cote made four saves in net for OOB.

WELLS — Hannah Cottis scored five times to lead the Warriors to the win over North Yarmouth Academy on Thursday.

Sarah Webb added two goals and Franny Ramsdell, Kenzie Foss, Sydney Belanger and Mallory Aromando also scored for Wells.

Gorham 5, Thornton Academy 1

SACO — The Golden Trojans jumped out to a 1-0 lead early, but it would be all Gorham from there.

Natalia Profenno scored off an assist from Alyanna Beaudoin for TA.

Emma Forgues scored all five goals for Gorham.

Sanford 2, Kennebunk 1

SANFORD — The host Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 lead and held on from there for the win.

Isaac Plante and Kevin Voter scored for Sanford, which got an assist from Nick Adornetto.

Kennebunk got a score from Tom Sub.

Biddeford 3, Greely 0

GREELY — The visiting Tigers cruised to the sweep with wins of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-17.

Grace Martin led Biddeford with 11 kills.

Deering 3, Thornton Academy 0

SACO — The host Golden Trojans dropped all three sets on Thursday. Deering won the sets 25-9, 25-3 and 25-20.

St. Dom’s 11, Old Orchard Beach 0

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The host Seagulls got an incredible 30 saves from freshman goalie Leah Green but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

Pagie Cote and Hannah Trottier-Brown combined for seven goals in the win for St. Dom’s.
