
Trailing 2-1 with five minutes remaining, Brianna Plante would score her second goal of the game on a pass from Maegan Halle to tie the score. Caitlin Perrigo would then hit a shot from 25 yards out for the game-winner with just 59 seconds remaining.
Lakyn Hink would score for Sacopee Valley 10 minutes into the match to give the Hawks the 1-0 advantage. Plante responded late in the half with a goal of her own on a pass from Shanie Plante to knot the score at 1-1 at the break.
Sacopee Valley once again scored first to open the second half, this time on a goal from Gabby Martin, to take the 2-1 lead.
Sacopee Valley’s Kylie Day made eight saves in net while OOB’s Kaitlyn Cote recorded four.
OOB improves to 3-1 on the year while Sacopee Valley falls to 1-3. OOB will take on St. Dominic’s on Monday.
Boys Soccer
Gorham 3, Thornton Academy 0
The Rams would shut out Thornton Academy on Thursday afternoon.
Garrett King got the Rams on the board in the first half, and would score again in the second half along with Brendan Waterman to secure the 3-0 win.
Gorham goalie Trevor Gray made two stops while TA’s Cam Lebreque and Travis Snyder combined for six.
FALMOUTH 1, SANFORD 0
Falmouth took a close 1-0 decision over Sanford on Thursday. Niklas Hester netted the game’s lone goal for Falmouth.
Sanford’s Gavin Moyer recorded 15 stops in net while Alvaro Fuentes-Cantillana made six stops for Falmouth.
Golf
Kennebunk 9, Biddeford 4
The Kennebunk golf team topped Biddeford 9-4 at Dutch Elm on Thursday.
Chris Grady led the way for Kennebunk with a match-low score of 40. Teammate Gavin Kirn shot a 44 while Alex Champagne shot a 49.
Logan Magnant led the Tigers with a score of 46, while Carter Burnell finished right behind him at 47.
Volleyball
Bonny Eagle 3, Thornton Academy 0
The Scots cruised to a win in three sets over Thornton Academy on Thursday.
Bonny Eagle won 25-12, 25-15, 25-22.
