LYMAN — Selectmen in Lyman are accepting bids for two road repaving projects in the town.

Bids will be taken through 3 p.m. Oct. 1 for the repaving of Old North Berwick Road and Walker Road in Lyman.

All bids must be submitted on official town bidding forms available for this specific job at the 
Lyman Town Hall, the Lyman Select Board Office, or on the town’s website at lyman-me.gov.

If successful, bidders will be required to sign Lyman’s standard written service contract and provide evidence of the required insurance within 10 days of the award of the bid, with the Town of Lyman being named as additional insured.  

Successful bidders also shall be required to provide and maintain worker’s compensation insurance in full force and effect during the term of the contract, auto liability insurance and public liability insurance.

The company that wins the contract for the repaving must agree to provide all necessary equipment, materials and employees to complete the project.

The Town of Lyman also is reserving the right to hire a consulting engineer to do core samples to determine uniform depth of pavement for the repaving.

All bids shall be held by the Board of Selectmen not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders, and then awarding the contract.

Sealed bids will be opened at the Lyman Select Board Meeting on Oct. 1 and a contract will be awarded at the Lyman Select Board Meeting on Oct. 15.
