Judy was educated in the Bath School system and graduated from Morse High School in 1957. After high school, Judy trained to be an airline stewardess at Central Technical Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. Judy then attended Burdett Business School in Boston.
While in Boston, Judy was employed by The Royal Globe Insurance Agency where she met her husband of 53 years, Anthony Riordan Sr. Together Andy and Judy raised their three sons in Lisbon Falls, where Judy worked as the “lunch lady” at the Lisbon High School cafeteria.
Judy was a member of the Lisbon High School Hockey Boosters and the cheering coach for the Lisbon High hockey team. Judy participated in many bowling leagues at the Lisbon Bowling Center, and enjoyed golfing with her husband at Apple Valley golf course.
Her love of people, animals, her books and especially her laughter and lumpy potatoes assured her a place in many hearts. If you knew her, you loved her.
Judy was predeceased by her son Michael Paul Riordan of Lisbon Falls, her parents William and Arline Boyce of Georgetown and her brother William Boyce Jr. of Panama City, Florida.
Judy will be sorely missed by her surviving husband Anthony Riordan, son Anthony Riordan Jr. and fiancee Karen Brown, son John Riordan and wife Diana, Anthony Riordan Sr.’s daughter Barbara Riordan and children Rose Pelati and Helen Camia. 12 grandchildren, Brandon Riordan, Kelsey Fish, Siobhan Murtiff, Courtney Riordan, Shauna Riordan, Ryan Riordan, Chandler Riordan, Connor Brown, Keegan Brown, Jared Leduc, Olivia Leduc, Kenneth Leduc Harris. Three great-grandchildren, Kevin and Briana Murtiff and Carson Fish.
We would like to thank the Androscoggin Hospice nurses as well as: Danielle Martin, Ruthann Driscoll, Karen Dall, Andy Riordan and Karen Brown for caring for mom in her last days. Please rest and breathe easy, you were loved by all Judy.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
