She was born in Biddeford on March 22, 1915, a daughter of Philip and Angelina (Lemay) Tardif.

At an early age, Angeline worked on the family farm, The Tardif Farm, delivering milk to many local families for years.

In 1951, she married her husband Roland. They were married for 59 years until he passed May 15, 2011.

Angeline used her talents of cooking for the Portsmouth Hospital for several years. Her family has enjoyed her cooking and baking for many years, always wondering what treats would come their way.

Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up from their earlier age to adulthood. She cherished the time she spent with them and their families. They had beautiful memories, she will be sadly missed.

Mrs. Beland was honored with a centennial celebration in Augusta at the State House in 2015. Most recently, she was named the oldest resident in Saco in March of 2017.
