BANGOR — Ryan Glass broke a 1-1 tie with a second half penalty kick to lift the Mt. Ararat High School boys jayvee soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Bangor on Saturday.
Glass also scored in the first half off a pass from Jason Halliday for the Eagles.
Strong play from Trey Booty, Michael Kane, Dakota Lopez and Jax Hollenbach preserved the victory for the visitors.
James Singleton made five saves in net for Mt. Ararat.
The squad also took a 3-0 victory from Cony recently.
Singleton, Mitch Surace and Elias Linkel each made a pair of saves while tending the net.
Goals by Tyler Gaudreau, Marcus Steinman and Eli Ouellette paced the Eagles. Ouellette and Hollenbach also added assists.
Nick D’Andrea, Lopez, Riley Gilson and Hollenbach all had strong games in the victory.
The 5-1-2 Eagles will host Morse this evening at 5 p.m.
