
He was born on July 12, 1936 in Plaistow, New Hampshire where he lived many years with his mother Elizabeth and his father Merle.
He served his country in the Navy from July 1954 until he was honorably discharged in 1958.
He owned and operated his own well drilling company upon retiring so he could reside in Florida in the winter and back to Maine for the summer months.
He is survived bu his wife Irene; eldest daughter Shelly Desmarais and her partner Kenny of Danville, New Hampshire; son Mike Faxon of Titusville, Florida; and youngest daughter Jodi Dickens and her husband Steve of Derry, New Hampshire.
He is also survived by many of his siblings Merle Faxon, Dick Faxcon, Faye Gerrish, and Dave Faxon; as well as grandchildren Andrew Desmarais, Nicolette Tucker, Candace Higgins and Russell Clark.
He also leaves Irene’s daughter, Cathy Napier and her husband Jim of Alfred, Maine and son Richard Hilton and wife Patricia of Kissimmee, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at Goodwins Mills United Methodist Church in Lyman, Maine at 2 p.m. Oct. 14.
