TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School boys jayvee soccer team dropped only its second game of the year, losing to Lewiston 4-3 last week.
The 6-2-2 Eagles got goals from Nathan Taylor (penalty kick), Elias Linkel and Trevor Brown. Jacob Sargent assisted on the last two goals.
James Singleton made three saves in net while Mitch Surace turned away a pair in the loss.
Mt. Ararat got strong play from Nathan Kofroth, Trey Booty, Tristan Burch and Michael Kane.
On Tuesday, the Eagles rebounded with a 2-0 over Mt. Blue.
Taylor scored on a penalty kick in the first half putting the visitors up, 1-0.
Dakota Lopez legged in a goal off a pass from Sargent to a second half goal.
Singleton and Surace each had a save in net for the Eagles (7-2-2).
Jax Hollenbach, Brewster Chard and Thomas Davison each had strong games contributing to the victory.
