LISBON
Lisbon police arrested a man last week who they say had allegedly assaulted a family member.
David Small, 28, was charged with assault, obstructing report of a crime and criminal threatening, according to Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan.
The incident escalated from an argument between Small and a 66-year-old family member at their Higgins Street home Oct. 6.
According to Hagan, Smith prevented the family member from calling police before allegedly grabbing him by the throat and making a threatening comment. Hagan said another family member intervened, separating the two.
When police arrived, Small was not at the residence but police located him a shortly after. Small was taken to Androscoggin County Jail, where his bail was set at $1,500. He is scheduled to appear in Lewiston District Court on Nov. 1.
