SACO — The Thornton Academy boys soccer team edged visiting Bonny Eagle 1-0 on Thursday at Hill Stadium.
Owen Hey would score TA’s lone goal, assisted by Chase Pierce. TA keeper Cam LaBrecque finished the day with three saves while Bonny Eagle’s Connor Redlon recorded six.
After a shaky start to the season, TA improves to 8-4 on the season.
Windham 5, Massabesic 1
The Mustangs fell to 3-10 on the season with a loss to Windham on Thursday.
Nick Rose led Windham with two first-half goals that gave the Eagles the 4-0 lead at the break.
Windham would outscore the Mustangs 2-1 in the second half to put the game away. Antonio Desimone scored Massabesic’s lone goal.
Windham’s Alex Wilkins made four stops in net while Joshua Castonguay racked up nine for Massabesic.
