WISCASSET — Clayton Foye, 74, of Bradford Road died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Togus VA Hospital.
He was born in Wiscasset on August 30, 1943, a son of Maurice P. and Doris L. (Pooler) Foye.
He graduated from Wiscasset High School in 1961 and joined the U.S. Navy. He helped build Maine Yankee in Wiscasset. He was then employed by Bath Iron Works for 28 years as a shipfitter at the Harding Plant, retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed hunting deer and fishing.
He was a member of the Wiscasset American Legion.
He is survived by one brother, Stan Foye of Pittston, one sister, Lois Foye of Wiscasset and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Parker Foye and Maurice A. Foye and one sister, Barbara Rice.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.
