OGUNQUIT — The 14th Annual OgunquitFest celebration will take place from Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Oct. 22.

The public is invited to join the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce and its community partners as the town of Ogunquit dresses up in its Fall Finest to host a full weekend slate of fun and ghostly festivities.

Friday kicks off the weekend with Haunted Theatre tours, Trick or Treating downtown and a child-friendly Hotel Transylvania movie.

On Saturday and Sunday, more than 75 vendors will be selling arts, crafts, specialty foods and unique gift items under the big tent at the Autumn Bazaar.

The festival features popular perennial events like the Antique and Classic Car show, Pumpkin Carving Contest, OgunquitFest Obstacle Course, the Costume Parade, the High Heel Dash and much more.

A number of new events are added this year including something for our four-pawed friends, the DogtoberFest Beach Stroll & Social, and the Pooch Costume Awards.

A whoopie pie-eating contest with children’s and adult levels will be a real treat as well as a host of children’s activities including a Children’s Entertainment hour and Costume Contest.

Various Ogunquit merchants will also join in the fun as they offer ghostly tours, dancing, wine tastings, cookie decorating, musical tributes and even an Oktoberfest Gala.

Watch for all the scarecrows around town and vote for your favorite and also vote for your favorite classic car. Voting Ballots will be distributed throughout town at various locations.

Another favorite activity is the Art & Antiquefest, taking place throughout October, where you can visit various galleries, museums and antique shops in southern Maine.
