BATH — Madeline Elena Marzen, beloved daughter to Andrew and Amie Marzen and proudest big sister of Benjamin, passed away suddenly and peacefully in her sleep after an inspirational battle against an aggressive brain tumor.

A Bath native, she was born on August 24th, 2013 and passed away on October 19, 2017 at home with her family. A silly, sweet, loving child, Madeline spread joy to all who knew her. She was always quick to give a hug or share a silly song. She loved her friends, preschool, dancing ballet and tap, doing crafts, baking, tumbling, singing, going to the library, making up shows to perform for her parents, jumping in muddy puddles, her invisible sister Hanihoni, Daniel Tiger, the color red, princesses and snuggling. She took the most pride in being a big sister to her brother Benny and above all else, loved her family, drawing them in pictures over and over. In addition to her parents and brothers she will be especially missed by her grandparents, Mary and Carl Marzen, her great-grandmother Josephine Noll, great-grandparents Edward and Helen Marzen (all of Lehighton, PA), her Aunt Cori and Uncle Trevor and cousins Landon and Ellie (Deptford, NJ).

She goes to heaven into the loving arms of her predeceased grandparents, Eileen and Thomas Haverluk.

She will be forever missed by her friends and family. The Marzens would like to thank Auntie Carrie Beals, the Mommas, the Bath Community, and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital oncology team and nurses for their love, support and care of Madeline.

Visiting hours will be held from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 144 Lincoln Street, Bath. In honor of Madeline please wear red.
