Constance Freeman Lord, 74, of Brunswick, died peacefully on Oct. 21, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born on May 7, 1943, in Portland, Maine, to Celina Shea Freeman and Philip A. Freeman. She married Dana W. Lord on January 20, 1967, at Bailey Island Church. They lived on Bailey Island and Cundy’s Harbor in the early years of their marriage.

Connie was employed as a CNA at Regional Hospital of Brunswick. She also did private health care in Maine and Florida and most recently worked for 16 years as a receptionist at the Bailey Island Motel.

She enjoyed camping and traveling. She and Dana spent some of their happiest years in Sebastian, Florida. She was an avid game player and enjoyed playing Bingo, cribbage, scrabble and Upwords and an occasional trip to the casino.

Connie, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother is predeceased by her husband, Dana Lord, her brother Wayne A. Freeman of Bailey Island, and parents Philip and Celina Freeman. She is survived by her son Dana Lord and daughter Stacey Lord, her sister Janet Baribeau, her brother Gordon Freeman, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on

October 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Bailey Island Union Church, with a reception following at Bailey Island Library Hall.

Thanks to the support of Hospice of Brunswick, Connie was able to remain in her home until her passing.
