TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School girls seventh-grade soccer team won a high-scoring affair with Auburn on Tuesday, 4- 3, finishing their season with a 6-3-1 record.
Auburn came out and scored early to take the lead, and doubled the advantage before Hannah Hawkes tallied a goal for the Eagles assisted by Kandice Powell and Haley Wiers.
Ariana Graybill tied the game, but Auburn came back to score again for a 3-2 edge.
With only two minutes remaining Mt. Ararat’s Angel Huntsman scored on a direct kick to tie it up. Soon after, Hawkes scored the winning goal on a pass from Emma Dobransky.
Sydney Dufresne had a solid game in net for the Eagles.
