Casino developer Shawn Scott made a pitch for a York County casino in a “meet and greet” at H.A. Mapes, Inc. in Sanford Wednesday. About 35 business people and others turned out to hear what he had to say. Scott is making the rounds ahead of the statewide referendum vote set for Tuesday. He said he’s been approached by councilors and select board members in various York County locations interested in talking to him about a casino but acknowledged he hadn’t spoken to Sanford councilors or administration. Scott said he’s interested in locating the proposed York County casino in the location that most wants it. “We want a strong bond with the community,” he said. TAMMY WELLS/Journal Tribune
