On Tuesday residents will elect a new mayor. Don Pilon is running against Marston Lovell.

City Council

In Ward 1, Marshall Archer and Matthew DiCianni are running

In Ward 2, Roger Gay is running for reelection unopposed.

In Ward 3 City Councilor William Doyle is running for reelection against Barbara Colman.

In Ward 4, Michael Burman is running again against Lynn Copelandl.

In Ward 5 City Councilor Alan Minthorn is running unopposed for reelection.

In Ward 6, Theodore Sirois, Jason Boucher and Micah Smart are running.

 In Ward 7 City Councilor Nathan Johnston is running for reelection unopposed.

School Board

Member Lynn Leary is running for reelection unopposed in Ward 3.

In Ward 4, Stephen Shipman is running unopposed.

In Ward 6, Stanley Mozden is running unopposed.

Residents of Saco will also vote on three local bond questions:

Question 1: “Order Authorizing the City of Saco to borrow an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 for City facilities, including the Ocean Park Road drainage system, the Police Station roof, the City Hall and Parks and Recreation facility HVAC systems, the Middle School baseball field, the Foss Road recreation site, Lincoln Street reconstruction and Camp Ellis erosion protection.” 

Question 2: “Order Authorizing the City of Saco to borrow an amount not to exceed $7,250,000 for construction and equipping of a new public works facility on Industrial Park Road and to sell the existing public works facility on North Street and to expend such sale proceeds on such new public works facility.” 

Question 3: “Order Authorizing the City of Saco to borrow an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 for Route One sewer extension and sidewalk, pedestrian and traffic signal improvements.”
