
Council candidates:
Voters Tuesday will elect two city councilors for three-year terms that begin Jan. 1. Candidates are Crystal Helmreich and Kari Zielke and incumbents Joseph Hanslip and Maura Herlihy.
School Committee candidates:
Voters will choose two School Committee members from a field of three candidates — Jennifer Davie, Emily Sheffield and incumbent Kendra Williams. Terms are three years and begin Jan.1.
Water District:
Roland A. Cote is unopposed for trustee of the Sanford Water District.
Sewerage District:
Keith Patterson and Andrew Marby are running uncontested for two Sanford Sewerage District seats.
Voters will act on two charter amendments:
Charter question 1 asks voters to shorten — from 14 to 10 — the number of days a public hearing may be held following publication of a proposed ordinance.
The second charter amendment modifies schedule for approving write-in candidates for upcoming elections. If approved, the candidate would file a declaration before the close of business on the tenth business day following the filing deadline of municipal nomination papers.

Ward 1: Nasson Community Center, 457 Main St.
Ward 2: St. Ignatius Gym, 25 Riverside Ave.
Ward 3: Curtis Lake Church, 38 Westview Dr.
