BRUNSWICK — Three men have been charged in a Brunswick drug bust involving heroin, crack cocaine, firearms, and $5,600 cash.
Matthew Chase, 40, of Brunswick, was charged along with two men from Brooklyn, New York: Tireek Donato, 28; and Gerell Haynes, 32. All three were charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule drugs, class B.
The arrests happened Nov. 7 after agents from the Mid Coast District Task Force of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, officers from the Brunswick and Bath police departments, and the Sagadahoc Sheriff’s office searched a home on Front Street in Brunswick. The search came about, according to a news release, after a month-long investigation.
The owner of the home was not there at the time of the arrests.
Twenty grams of crack cocaine, 8 grams of heroin, $5,600 in cash, and two firearms were seized.
Donato and Haynes were both transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where bail was set at $10,000 cash. Chase was summonsed for his charge.
