NASHUA, N.H. — Clement R. Tanguay, 90, passed away at his home on Nov. 29, 2017.  He was born on March 5, 1927 in Garthby, Quebec, Canada. 

He is a United States Navy Veteran, and served during World War II. 

He was very involved with the Masons and was a part of the Shriner’s Renegades in Saco, Maine for many years. He was also a master carpenter working for Salter until he retired. He loved woodworking and going camping. 

He was married to Helena Boudreau Tanguay from 1948 to 1973, and in 1976 he married Janice Newcomb Ramsdell. 

Clement is survived by his wife Janice Newcomb (Ramsdell) Tanguay; his sons, Michael Tanguay of Princeton, Texas, Dennis Tanguay of Tracy, California, Gary Tanguay of Sanford, Maine; daughters Roxanne Levasseur of Sanford, Maine and Rachel Hambrick of Houston, Texas; and step-children Jonathan Ramsdell of Nashua, New Hampshire and Jill Ramsdell Burns, of Nashua, New Hampshire; his siblings, Lionel Tanguay of Rye, New Hampshire, Rejeanne Bailie of North Berwick, Maine, and Madeline Gravel of East Rochester, New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his son Arthur Tanguay of Lake Havasu, Arizona and several brothers and sisters. 

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Swampscott Cemetery located at 400 Essex St, Swampscott, Massachusetts. There will also be a mass celebrated in his memory at The Brothers of Instruction (Notre Dame) church in Alfred, Maine located at 132 Shaker Hill Road at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Office of Development, Shriner’s Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
