TURNER — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys basketball opened its season with a 78-58 victory over Leavitt on Friday.
The Eagles never trailed, holding quarter leads of 20- 10, 41-26 and 64-42.
Nate Taylor paced the win with 20 points, followed by Will Kavanaugh with 16 and James Singleton with 15. Taylor was solid from beyond the arc with six 3- pointers, followed by Kavanaugh with four and Singleton with three.
The Eagles visit Kennebunk on Friday at 5 p.m.
