Biddeford’s Nate Huot, seen here throwing a pitch during the Tigers’ 5-3 victory over Thornton Academy on May 24, has been one of the top players in the SMAA this season on the mound and at the plate. The junior was third in the league in hitting with a .442 average, including a league-leading 13 RBI’s, was also third in the league with a 0.62 ERA as he went a league-best 7-0 for the 14-2 Tigers, who will begin the Western Class A playoffs on Thursday with a home quarterfinal against either Portland or Windham.
