Senior Rayne Whitten was at the heart of Massabesic’s prosperity this season, playing nearly every minute of every game from the key center midfield spot as the Mustangs went 15-1 and won the Class A state championship. Whitten scored 37 goals, tied for a team high, dished out 21 assists and was a pivotal part of a Mustangs defense that allowed less than six goals a game this season.
