GORHAM — Both the Thornton Academy boys and girls indoor track and field teams took home first place in their meets against Massabesic, South Portland and Westbrook on Saturday afternoon at University of Southern Maine. Massabesic boys and girls placed third

The Biddeford boys and girls teams also each took first place against Falmouth, Marshwood and Portland earlier in the day. 

Boys

Thornton Academy’s Isaac Ofielu won the junior 55-meter dash while teammate Dawson Desrosiers took first in the junior 800-meter run.

TA won the junior 3,200 relay, and Ofielu later won the junior high jump.

TA’s Dominic Dadiego won the senior 55 dash as well as the 200 dash. Teammate Michael Underwood won the senior 400 dash, and TA’s Landon Heidrich won the senior 800 run. TA would later win the senior 3,200 relay, and TA’s Jason Montano won the senior shot put.

Massabesic’s David Phinney won the open 600 dash, while TA’s Jackson Pierce won the open 1-mile run. Massabesic’s Jacob Aboud took first in the open 2-mile run.

TA as a team won the open 1,600 relay while Massabesic won the open 3, 200 relay.

TA’s Travis Snyder took first in the pole vault.

Biddeford’s Zach Audet won the junior 55 hurdles, while teammate Mike O’Driscoll took first in the junior triple jump. Biddeford’s Jack DelPrete won the senior 55 dash as well as the 200 dash.

Scott Spellman won the senior 55 hurdles for the Tigers, as well as the senior high jump. Biddeford’s Aaron Dutremble won the senior triple jump, while teammate Nick Desjardins won the senior shot put.

Biddeford’s Thomas Kaiser won the open 600 dash, while teammate Ben Drummey won the open pole vault.

Girls

TA’s Noelle Conlon won the junior 800 run, while teammate Sara Montano took the junior 55 hurdles. As a team, TA won the junior 800 relay. TA’s Kieya Dion won the junior long jump. 

TA’s Sabria Merrifield won the senior 55 dash, while Massabesic’s Logan Champlin won the senior 200 dash.

TA’s Katie-Marie Roy won the senior 400 dash, while Massabesic’s Kylie Johnson won the senior 800 run and teammate Syeira New took first in the 55 hurdles.

TA won the senior 800 relay as a team, while TA’s Noelle Michaud won the senior shot put.

Massabesic’s Johnson went on to win the open 1 mile run while teammate Sarah Cloutier took the open 2 mile run.

TA would win both the open 3,200 relay and the open 800 relay. TA’s Rachel Schofield won the open pole vault.

Biddeford’s Jordina Coleman won the junior 400 dash, as well as the junior long jump. Teammate Jillian Greenleaf won the junior shot put, while Biddeford’s Serena Speight won the senior 55 dash, as well as the senior 200 dash.

The Tigers won the senior 800 relay, while Biddeford’s Leia Dorais won the open 600 dash. Biddeford’s Beka Robertson won the open pole vault.
