KENNEBUNK — The Kennebunk Free Library is welcoming instructor Danielle Bonney for a needle
felting class at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18.
In case of snow, the class will be held at 1:30 p.m. Jane. 25.
Needle felting is an easy art form that anyone can learn.
Bonney is a fiber artist and lives in Kennebunk. She makes birds and other animals out of sheep’s wool through a technique called Needle Felting and teaches classes all over Maine and sells her
animals through her online Etsy shop.
Her Etsy shop is called Wild Things Maine and can be found www.etsy.com/shop/wildthingsmaine.
You also can find her work at Restless Threads in Kennebunk, Hurlbutts, and has been commissioned by the National Park Service for larger birds.
She first learned about needle felting when she picked up a book at Kennebunk Free Library three years ago and she’s been creating ever since.
All supplies including a felting pad, felting needles and wool for your penguin are provided. Please expect a two-hour class.
The class size is limited so registration is required.
The program is free and wheelchair accessible and ages 10 and up are welcome.
