TOPSHAM — The Biddeford boys basketball team jumped out to a 36-point lead before the Tigers called off the dogs and cruised to an 83-70 win over host Mt. Ararat on Friday night.
The Tigers, who are now 4-1 on the season, were led by Cody Saucier’s 27-point performance.
Kyle Norton added 16 points and both Jackson Oloya and Zach Reali chipped in 10 points in the win.
Massabesic 59, Noble 52
The Mustangs picked up a big home win over the visiting Knights on Friday for their second straight victory.
Isaac DesVergnes led the way with 16 points while Ethan Roy chipped in 15. Nick Amabile also scored 11 for Massabesic.
Noble was led by Garrett Brown with a game-high 19 points while teammates Tyler Oliver and Bryce Cantin each scored 15.
Girls Basketball
Thornton Academy 40, Lewiston 38
The Golden Trojans rallied from a 13-point deficit with just three minutes to play to take down the visiting Blue Devils.
Thornton Academy was led by Alex Hart with 18 points and Elise Hebert with eight points.
Myah Nicolas led Lewiston with 13 points and Emily Strachan added 12 points in the loss.
