SACO — The Thornton Academy boys basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 45-44 win over visiting Cheverus on Tuesday night.

The Golden Trojans made seven of eight foul shots down the stretch to secure the victory.

TA was led by Anthony Bracamonte and Payton Jones with 12 points each.

Matt Duchaine and Tobias Ephron scored 10 points each to lead Cheverus.

Kennebunk 46, Falmouth 31

Cam Lovejoy scored 16 points and Max Murray added 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Rams to the victory on Tuesday.

Zack Sullivan finished with 11 points to help Kennebunk improve to 4-2 on the season.

Windham 58, Massabesic 45

The game was tied at 41 with just over four minutes left, but it would be the visiting Eagles taking control as they picked up the win.

Alex Schepis led Massabesic with 14 points. Isaac DesVergnes added 11 points in the loss.

Nick Curtis led Windham with 27 points.

South Portland 82, Sanford 42

The visiting Red Riots would get 14 points from both Liam Coyne and Edward Buckley as they cruised to the win on Tuesday.

Sanford was led by Leyton Bickford’s game-high 17 points.

The Spartans (0-6) will visit Marshwood on Thursday.
