LISBON

Lisbon recovered from a slow start, outscoring Telstar, 28-13 in the second half en route to a 47-38 Mountain Valley Conference girls high school basketball win on Wednesday.

Giana Russo paced the Greyhounds (2-5) with 19 points, with Valerie Doucette adding 10 points, and Mallory Fairbanks and Carly Drischler splitting 12 points down the middle.

Telstar turned a 10-10 first-quarter draw into a 25- 19 halftime lead. But, a 14-6 Lisbon third quarter made for a 33-31 Greyhound lead.

Luci Rothwell had a game-high 23 points for the Rebels, with Aneah Bartlett adding 11.

Lisbon visits Wiscasset on Friday at 7 p.m.

MT. ABRAM 40

Sydney Underhill-Tilton scored her 1,000th career point as the visiting Bobcats downed the Roadrunners in MVC play.

Underhill-Tilton had 25 points and 15 rebounds in the win as Richmond improved to 5-3.

Bryanne Lancaster added eight points and nine boards, while Ashley Abbott chipped in six points and three assists.

Summer Ross had 24 points for Mt. Abram (3-4), with Meg Sorel chipping in 14.

Richmond hosts Monmouth on Friday at 7 p.m.

MTN. VALLEY 59

Brooke Carver hit six 3- pointers and scored 22 points as Mountain Valley pulled away in the second half to defeat Richmond in an MVC makeup contest on Tuesday.

The Bobcats received 18 points from Underhill-Tilton and 14 from Abbott.

Rylee Sevigny scored 21 for Mountain Valley (5-1), while her sister Avery added 13.

The host Seahawks jumped out to a 17-2 first-quarter lead and cruised to an MVC win over rival Wiscasset, which fell to 0-7.

Boothbay (7-0) led 38-8 at the half and 50-16 after three.

Paige Brown had 16 points in the win, with Chloe Arsenault chipping in 14.

Grace Webber powered the Wolverines with 11 points, followed by Maeve Blodgett with six.

NYA 45

North Yarmouth Academy (3-3) jumped out to a commanding first-quarter lead and cruised from there for a win in Yarmouth.

The Panthers led 14-2, 28-9 and 40-13 at the quarter breaks.

Helen Hamblett led the way for the hosts with 14 points, with Katherine Larson adding nine, and Margaret Larson and Sydney Plummer splitting 14 points.

Adriana DePalma paced the Breakers (1-3) with 13 points. Agnes Miongo added six.

PTA returns to action Saturday at home against Hyde at 5:30 p.m.

Boys basketball

RICHMOND — Zach Small scored 27 points as Richmond rolled to a 68-33 MVC victory over Mt. Abram.

The Bobcats are 6-2 and visit Monmouth on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Richmond held quarter leads of 24-11, 41-19 and 55- 23.

Matt Rines chipped in 15 points, with Calob Densmore adding seven. Nick Ridenour was strong on the boards, pulling down 12 caroms.

Sam Storer and Dawson Bate paced the Roadrunners (0-7) with eight points apiece.

Richmond finished 8-of-22 from the free-throw line, while Mt. Abram was 15-of- 23.

AR GOULD 56

Pine Tree Academy returned from its holiday break, falling to AR Gould in Portland.

The Breakers are 3-3 heading into Saturday’s road tilt at Old Orchard Beach, while AR Gould improved to 3-1.

The hosts led 19-10 after a quarter, but a strong second frame from PTA gave the visitors a 29-26 halftime lead. However, AR Gould jumped ahead after three, 43-41, then pulled away in the fourth.

Ernest Lorang had 20 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four steals in the win, while Alex Shoureas and Tristin Chamberlain each had 14 points.

Jared Tamalea’a led PTA with 18 points, followed by Chris Almisi with 13 and Evan Owen with seven.

Boys hockey

BRUNSWICK — Michael Deveaux tallied a hat trick to lift Brunswick to a 7-1 win over Maranacook/Winthrop on Tuesday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

Deveaux added three assists, with Aiden Snell scoring twice. Jacob Doring and Connor Pendergast also scored, with Doring tallying four assists on the night.

Riley Kirk earned the win in the Brunswick cage.

The Dragons visit York on Saturday at 7:45 p.m.

BRUNSWICK — Leah Walker had two goals and two assists to power Greely/Gray-New Gloucester to a 7-0 win over Mt. Ararat/Morse at Watson Arena.

The Eagles (0-8) host Lewiston/Monmouth/Oak Hill on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Mt. Ararat/Morse goaltender Lily Schenk had 24 saves in the loss as the Rangers outshot their hosts 31-5.

Madison Pelletier chipped in a goal and helper in the win, while Jayme Morrison, Courtney Sullivan, Molly Horton and Camilla Lattanzi picked up a goal each.
