BIDDEFORD — Ramona M. Baiguy, 89, a resident of Falmouth by the Sea, and a long-time resident of Biddeford, died Jan. 7, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born, Dec. 18, 1928 in Lewiston a daughter of Alphe and Amanda Marie (Rossignol) Beaulieu. Mona was educated in Mattawamkeag and was a graduate of Lee Academy in Winn, Maine.

On Nov. 16, 1949 she married George E. Baiguy in Sacred Heart Church in Winn.

As the family grew, she worked with Fairchild Semiconductor in South Portland. She then owned and operated an answering service for local professionals for a number of years. For 20 years she had worked as an accountant for Dube Drywall, retiring in 1996.

Ramona was a member of Dutch Elm Golf Course and an avid golfer; she enjoyed bowling, traveling, sewing and knitting. For many years she prepared tax returns for newly emigrated Canadian workers.

She was preceded in death by George, her husband of 65 years, on Jan. 14, 2015, and also by two brothers, Roland and Onis Beaulieu.

Surviving are two sons Donald R. Baiguy and his wife Iriabel of Windham, New Hampshire and Robert K. Baiguy of Windham, Maine; four daughters Sandra A. Curro and her husband Anthony, Anita M. Moran and her husband Alexander, Linda C. Barone, all of Biddeford and Sheila G. Fay of Falmouth; a brother, Reo Beaulieu and his wife Dottie of Rhode Island; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will follow immediately in the Hope Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
